Lesson #1 :

Why I almost quit after $400M in network marketing sales (2023 was different)

From: Thomas Yap, Kuala Lumpur

I've generated $400 million in network marketing sales over 11 years.

But in 2023, I almost quit the industry entirely.

Let me explain...

Last year, I decided to build a new team from scratch in Malaysia. All my teams were overseas. Pre-dominantly India.

So I started Fresh again. No warm market. No existing downline to lean on.

I thought it would be easy. After all, I'd done it before.

But something had fundamentally changed.

The "proven" methods that built my fortune? They were dead.

Cold calling? Previews? Product Demonstrations and Business Opp Meetings?

People don't respond to such methods anymore..

Messaging strangers? They've seen every script.

Home meetings? Nobody has time.

Even social media had become a wasteland of desperate "Hey How are you?" messages and motivational quote spam.

I watched talented people burn out in weeks.

Smart, driven individuals who could succeed in any other business model were failing miserably in network marketing.

I recruited 20 People on my first month but to see most of them quit.

Not because they weren't trying. They were unable to replicate the results I did.

That's when I discovered something that changed everything...

The Authority VS Influencer Revelation

Picture two people at a networking event.

Person A is loud, flashy, doing anything for attention. Taking selfies. Talking about their "amazing opportunity." Desperately trying to get noticed.

Person B quietly shares valuable insights. People lean in when they speak. Others seek them out for advice.

Who would you rather do business with?

That's the difference between an influencer and an authority.

Influencers chase attention. Authorities attract decisions.

And here's what nobody tells you about network marketing:

You don't need more prospects. You need more authority.

Think about it...

Who are the top earners in your company? Are they the ones sending the most messages? Making the most calls?

Or are they the ones everyone wants to work with?

In my $400M journey, I've noticed something fascinating:

The people who struggle most are usually the hardest workers. They're grinding 60-80 hours a week. Messaging hundreds of people. Getting rejected constantly.

Meanwhile, the successful ones? They spend 15-20 minutes a day on marketing and have prospects reaching out to THEM.

The difference isn't work ethic. It's positioning.

Let me prove it with one of my clients.

Shaun Lee joined a Network Marketing and have successfully built a sustainable income with his business.

But he wanted to recruit strangers online.

In his first week using my Authority Architect's Formula, he had 20+ complete strangers reach out to HIM.

Not because he messaged them.

Because he became osmose worth reaching out to

By a month, he had 1,600,000+ views on his Social Media Account (Threads). 1100+ followers and he's booking appointments while travelling the world.

All inbound. Cold. Strangers. Prospects coming to him.

Time spent on marketing? 20 minutes a day.

But here's the real kicker...

Shaun's is an introvert. He has never done videos. or never posted about his business on Social Media.

He had 0 followers and no Social Media Presence.

He didn't post any video, did a lifestyle flex, chase the latest trend or danced on Tik-Tok (do people still do that?)

Plus, he doesn't like the old school - call and pitch method. (didn't work)

But when you build authority the right way? None of that matters.

Now, you might be thinking: "That's great for Shaun, but I don't have expertise to share."

That's what I thought too.

Until I discovered something that changed everything...

Something that lets ANYONE build authority in minutes, not years.

In the next lesson, I'll share the exact method I stumbled upon that turns complete beginners into recognized authorities in their niche. Using a tool you already have access to but aren't using correctly.

(Hint: It has nothing to do with being an expert or having special knowledge...)

Your Assignment for Today:

Next time you scroll social media, notice the difference between people seeking attention and people commanding authority.

Ask yourself: "Would I reach out to this person for help?"

If the answer is no... they're doing it wrong.

And so are 97% of network marketers.

Next I'll show you how to join the 3% who get it right.

P.S. One of my team members, a retired Policeman went from zero to 50 DM using this method. And he doesn't even like social media. I'll explain tomorrow...
